An NFL source has told Scout.com that the Miami Dolphins No. 2 tight end, David Martin, has reached an injury settlement and will be released by the team.

The move will slide second-year player Joey Haynos up into the No. 2 spot and the team's fifth-round draft pick, John Nalbone, up to the No. 3 spot on the depth chart.

Martin was entering his ninth year in the league and had been recovering from a sports hernia injury, but the reason for his settlement is related to a knee injury.
