The Oakland Raiders have reached a five-year contract agreement with OL Cooper Carlisle, Scout.com has confirmed.

Carlisle originally signed a two-year deal with Oakland during free agency of 2007.

The Houston Texans and Denver Broncos also pursued Carlisle hard and the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers also showed interest in the veteran lineman.

Carlisle is expected to remain as Oakland's starting right guard.
