Biography:
How Acquired: Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent May 2, 2008.

2006: Became the third player in Ole Miss history to rush for at least 1,000 yards in a season, joining Kayo Dottley (twice) and Deuce McAllister ... His 1,000 yards rushing was the fourth-highest total in school history and the third-most yards in the SEC in 2006 ... Set a school record with 234 rushing attempts ... Team leader with seven touchdowns (all rushing) on the year ... Ranked third in the SEC with 83.3 yards rushing per game ... Played in all 12 games, starting the first 11 of the season ... Led Ole Miss in rushing yards in all 12 contests ... Eclipsed the 100-yard mark in rushing four times during the season ... Also caught eight passes for 43 yards ... Earned his first letter with the Rebels.

2005: Sat out the season due to the NCAA transfer rule ... Spring 2005: Transferred to Ole Miss from Indiana and participated in his first spring practice period with the Rebels ... Had 39 rushing yards on 12 carries and scored on a six-yard run in the Red-Blue game..

Prior to Ole Miss: Earned two letters while playing at Indiana University ... As a sophomore in 2004, led Indiana with 794 yards rushing on 231 carries, with five touchdowns ... Averaged 72.2 yards per game, which ranked sixth-best in the Big Ten Conference ... Also caught 14 passes for another 80 yards ... His 32 points (five TDs and one two-point reception) ranked third on team in scoring ... His 72.2 yards of total offense was second on team behind QB Matt LoVecchio, and is 79.5 all purpose yards also ranked second on team… As a true freshman in 2003, Green-Ellis averaged 98.0 rushing yards per game against Big Ten opposition ... Played in 12 games, starting three ... Finished his freshman campaign with 225 carries for 938 yards and seven touchdowns ... His 938 yards rushing were the most for a Hoosier freshman since Alex Smith ran for 1,475 yards in 1994.

High School: Prepped at St. Augustine High in New Orleans, spending time at both running back and fullback… All-City and All-Metro selection ... Ran for 155 yards and a touchdown in a playoff game against the third-ranked team in the state of Louisiana ... As a senior, ran for over 1,000 yards and had 12 touchdowns, despite playing in a running back rotation ... Earned three letters in football ... Coached in high school by Tyrone Payne ... Also lettered twice in track ...Won 4x100 and was All-District and All-Region.
