(2000-2006) Baltimore Ravens:
Drafted by the Ravens in the sixth round (186th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens had high hopes for Thomas when they selected him in the sixth round of the 2000 draft. Regarded as a diamond in the rough by most scouts, and a player that probably should have been drafted three rounds earlier, Thomas has already shown glimpses of greatness. But the Ravens know that Thomas still has a long way to go before he is held in the same regard as a pass rusher as McCrary and Boulware are right now. Thomas has outstanding straight line speed, clocking in with a 4.6 time in the 40. His ability to get after the QB will be a key issue for the Ravens to have a good defense this season.
After a great career at Southern Mississippi, Thomas has come into the NFL and played in 19 games in his first two seasons. The 6-2 defensive end has picked up 3.5 sacks in that time.
