New Contract for Carpenter

Dan Carpenter, Brandon Fields and John Denney have handled the Dolphins kicking game for the past two years, and it looks like they could be together for a while. After Fields and Denney got contract extensions in the offseason, Carpenter has now joined them in that regard.

Carpenter recently signed a three-year extension through the 2013 season.

According to figures on the NFLPA website, Carpenter will make $1 million, $2.53 million and $2.68 million in base salary the next three seasons. He is scheduled to make $470,000 in 2010.

Earlier, Fields got a two-year contract extension, while Denney's deal was extended for three years. Recommended Stories
