Crowder Doubtful

Linebacker Channing Crowder said Wednesday he would hate having to miss the Jets game this weekend, but it's starting to look like he might have to deal with it. Crowder was kept out of practice Friday for the third consecutive day and he's been listed as doubtful for the game.

If Crowder can't play, his place in the starting lineup would be taken by Reggie Torbor, who would switch places at inside linebacker with Akin Ayodele.

Torbor said this week he's ready if called upon.

"I've started before," Torbor said Wednesday. "I can play football, so that's up to Channing. I don't know. He knows how his body is and we know that if he can go a little bit he's going to go and if not we'll be prepared for that also."

Along with Crowder, the Dolphins' injury report includes Ricky Williams (thumb) and nose tackle Jason Ferguson (foot). Both are listed as probable.

For the Jets, CB Lito Sheppard (quadriceps) is doubtful; WR David Clowney (ankle), WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring, knee), DE Shaun Ellis (ankle), LB Bart Scott (knee) and WR Brad Smith (quad) are questionable; and LB David Harris (wrist), G Brandon Moore (foot), CB Donald Strickland (ankle), LB Bryan Thomas (wrist) and T Damien Woody (foot) are probable.
