In addition to the roster cuts the Dolphins made on Monday morning, they also have traded a couple of players, sending guard/center Andy Alleman and guard/tackle Ikechuku Ndukwe to the Kansas City Chiefs for an undisclosed 2010 draft pick.

Alleman was picked up by the Dolphins off waivers last September and ended up starting four games at left guard last season after Justin Smiley went down with a leg injury.

Ndukwe, meanwhile, started the last 15 games at right guard after Donald Thomas was injured in the season opener against the New York Jets.

But Ndukwe worked at tackle, and not guard, during this training camp and the preseason.

Alleman and Ndukwe were in competition for one of the backup spots along the offensive line with several other young players, including Shawn Murphy, Brandon Frye, Nate Garner and Andrew Gardner.
