Another One Leaves

For the second time this week, the Dolphins saw one of their players decide to leave the team. After rookie offensive tackle SirVincent Rogers left earlier this week, this time it was safety Ethan Kilmer.

The former member of the Cincinnati Bengals was signed in the offseason and was one of six safeties on the roster.

His chances of making the team probably weren't very good because starters Yeremiah Bell and Gibril Wilson obviously will make the team, Tyrone Culver signed a contract extension in the offseason and Chris Clemons was drafted this past April.

Maybe Kilmer's best chance, really, would have been if one of those players would have gotten injured.

The other safety on the roster, incidentally, is Courtney Bryan, who ended last season on the active roster but has little shot this time unless the Dolphins decide to keep five safeties.

Kilmer's departure left the Dolphins with 77 players on the roster, three under the NFL limit.
