Punter Jy Bond and cornerback Scorpio Babers both were released on Monday.Bond is an Australian native who was signed to a two-year contract in April after showing off a big leg in a workout. But he's also severely lacking when it comes to consistency, and it's clear he needs a lot more work before he has a chance at an NFL career.
As for Babers, he simply didn't show enough to justify keeping in a corps of cornerbacks that features a lot of competition, including first-round pick Vontae Davis and second-round pick Sean Smith.
The Dolphins wrap up their offseason work on Wednesday with an OTA session that will be closed to the media.
