Lehan Hurt at Practice

Coach Tony Sparano

Cornerback Michael Lehan sustained a leg injury during practice Wednesday morning, and he was scheduled to undergo X-rays in the afternoon to find out just how severe the injury might be.

Lehan was taken from the Dolphins' practice bubble with an ice bag around his right ankle.

He was injured when he landed awkwardly while trying to break up a deep pass from Josh McCown intended for Derek Hagan.

Re-signed as an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, Lehan is expected to be part of the team's rotation at cornerback unless his injury is serious.

SPARANO ON TAYLOR: Coach Tony Sparano repeated what he said about Jason Taylor on sports talk radio WQAM, which is that the organization wants Taylor back.

Despite Taylor saying this past weekend he wouldn't attend minicamp but wasn't sure about training camp, Sparano said he didn't regret saying two weeks ago that Taylor would miss both.

Sparano said his information remains the same. Taylor is subject to fines for missing the mandatory minicamp or training camp; Sparano said whatever disciplinary action is taken will remain between him and Taylor.
