The five wideouts are Davone Bess from Hawaii, Selwyn Lymon from Purdue, Marcel Reese from Washington, Justin Wynn from Grand Rapids CC, and Jayson Foster, who played quarterback at Georgia Southern.Bess, Lymon and Foster in particular are interesting.
Bess put up huge numbers in Hawaii's run-and-shoot offense, catching 89, 96 and 108 passes in his three years at the school. He entered the draft as an underclassman.
Lymon is a 6-foot-3 prospect who caught 40 passes as a senior but had off-the-field issues and was thrown off the Purdue team by head coach Joe Tiller.
Foster, meanwhile, played wide receiver as a freshman and junior at Georgia Southern, and was at quarterback as a sophomore and senior. He also returned punts and kickoffs, and as a senior he won the Walter Payton Award, given to the top offensive player in Division I-AA.
