Running back Ronnie Brown had the cast removed from his left hand on Monday and he indicated he has been cleared to practice. Brown even went as far as to predict he would be in the lineup for the game against the Jets on Christmas night.

Brown has missed the last three games because of the hand injury, sustained in the Thanksgiving Day victory over Detroit.

Sammy Morris has done a solid job in Brown's absence, which isn't the reason the Dolphins have dropped two of their last three since their four-game winning streak.

Brown, who got the OK after visiting the doctor on Monday, indicated he would wear special padding on his left hand if he plays against the Jets.

Coach Nick Saban wasn't ready to make any proclamations regarding Brown's status for the game, saying he needed to say how Brown would practice.

The Dolphins are off on Tuesday and Wednesday before beginning preparations for the Jets on Thursday.
