In the victory over the Bears, Taylor had a 20-yard interception return for a touchdown, a sack (which gave him 100.5 for his career) and a forced fumble.
"It was a fun day," Taylor said after the game. "We had a good time today. It is a difficult thing to do and a great challenge to come up here and play a great team like the Bears. We came out strong and made plays."
This is the sixth time that Taylor has been named Player of the Week. He won the award twice in 2002 and once inn 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Taylor also was named AFC Defensive Player of the Monthy for October and November 2002.
Since the award began in 1984, Taylor is the first player to win it at least once in five consecutive seasons.

The Dolphins made a big addition to their offensive line when they signed former Chargers and Vikings guard Toniu Fonoti.
Fonoti, a second-round pick of San Diego in 2002, is listed at 6-4, 350, but probably is closer to 400 pounds. In fact, it is because of weight and injury issues that Fonoti is now with his third team.
He started 14 games as a rookie before spending all of 2003 on injured reserve because of a football injury. After starting every game in 2004, Fonoti was traded to Minnesota last October. He signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent in the offseason but didn't make the team.
To make room on the roster for Fonoti, a former standout at Nebraska, the Dolphins waived tight end Jason Rader.
