Hagan Latest Draft Pick to Sign

The Dolphins made it four out of six draft picks signed Friday afternoon when they inked third-round selection Derek Hagan to a four-year contract. That left two draft picks remaining to be signed, first-round choice Jason Allen and seventh-round selection Rodrique Wright.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed when it comes to Hagan, who should compete for the third receiver role during training camp.

There's no great urgency in signing Wright because his offseason shoulder surgery makes it unlikely he'll contribute much as a rookie, but the Dolphins obviously want to get something done with Allen.

The sticking point is the number of years on the contract, with the Dolphins want at six and Allen and his agent, Mitch Frankel, want at five.

As of Friday afternoon, there appeared to be a real possibility Allen would be absent when the Dolphins hold their first practice Saturday morning.
