Chester has been trying to recover from the knee injury that cut short his 2004 season and required offseason surgery. Chester hasn't practiced all summer, instead working on his conditioning on the side.Putting Chester on reserve/PUP was one of two moves the Dolphins made Tuesday afternoon to get down to the NFL roster limit of 65 players, which does not include players with NFL Europe roster exemptions. The Dolphins have 10 such players, meaning they currently have 75 players on the roster and will have to trim 22 before Sunday at 4 p.m.
The other move made Tuesday afternoon was the waiving of wide receiver Danny Farmer, who caught the game-winning touchdown pass in Saturday night's preseason game against Tampa Bay.
