Grading The Miami Dolphins Draft

Analysis: The Dolphins need a dynamic presence at running back and arguably have selected the best the running back in the draft in Ronnie Brown.

Miami Dolphins
1 (2) Ronnie Brown; RB - Auburn
2 (46) Matt Roth; DE - Iowa
3 (70) Channing Crowder; MLB - Florida
4 (104) Travis Daniels; CB - LSU
5 (162) Anthony Alabi; OT - TCU
7 (216) Kevin Vickerson; DT - Michigan State

Analysis: The Dolphins need a dynamic presence at running back and arguably have selected the best the running back in the draft in Ronnie Brown. He should provide diversify a predictable Miami offense with his tremendous speed and quickness, while possessing sufficient power to control the ball on the ground.

Matt Roth is a solid pass-rushing defensive end with good speed and quickness. Very good with his hands, Roth has shown the ability to outwork and outmaneuver the opposition. Roth will provide a significant presence and is as intense a player as we have ever seen. He never backs down from a challenge and should be a spark-plug for the Miami defense from the end position.

Crowder is a talented player, but has struggled with immaturity, leading to off-field issues. He will be a backup with the Dolphins behind Zach Thomas, but could be a player for the Dolphins if he can maintain a level of responsibility.

Grade: A-
