The surgery, which was considered minor, was done to clean out Ruddy's left knee. According to the Dolphins, Ruddy will be evaluated on a weekly basis. There is reason to wonder, however, whether Ruddy will be ready to go when the Dolphins return to action Oct. 5 against the New York Giants.
If Ruddy isn't available by then, Seth McKinney would get the start at center. That wouldn't seem to be a major problem for the Dolphins considering Ruddy and McKinney have been splitting time at center.
Outside of that, the Dolphins are in good shape physically, with no injuries reported after the Buffalo game.
