The New York Jets announced that they have released linebacker Bart Scott, linebacker Calvin Pace, offensive lineman Jason Smith and safety Eric Smith. The move will save an approximate $31 million in cap room for 2013.

In addition, the Jets waived tight end/fullback Josh Baker, who missed the entire 2012 season with a knee injury.
